The 24 Game uses four numbers. Combine them with addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division until one number remains, and make that final number exactly 24.

Start with factor pairs of 24

Look for 3 x 8, 4 x 6, or 2 x 12. Building one of these pairs often leaves a simple way to use the other two numbers.

Turn extra numbers into 1 or 0

A pair of numbers can disappear into the calculation: 8 x 3 x (5 - 4) = 24, or 6 x 4 + (5 - 5) = 24.

Keep fractions in play

A fraction can unlock a hidden solution. For 3, 3, 8, 8, try 8 / (3 - 8 / 3) = 24.
